In December, I talked about how I’m not making resolutions this year, that I have made some goals and am working towards meeting those instead. I mean, goals and resolutions are kind of the same thing in a way anyway, so that was my thought. And also, I didn’t want to put a ton of pressure on myself. Meeting those goals is very important to me, but there are other things I want to do as well, and some of those things fall within the wider scope of those goals as well.
There are hobbies I want to try, changes I want to make in my lifestyle, things that I might be able to do, but likely won’t be able to because I’m a mom to a five month old who increasingly demands my time and attention. And one of my goals was to spend time playing with him. I’m only having one child, so Baby J is my one and only. I want to cherish every moment of his babyhood.
But, of course I want to continue to grow and learn and I have so much I want to do for myself. These things are going to improve my life and so I hope I get to them–if not all this year, then eventually. So let’s just dive in and talk about those twenty-two things.
Lifestyle
When it comes to lifestyle, there are some changes I want to make or include. They are:
- exercise regularly
- explore my faith/spiritually
- begin birdwatching
- have more date nights
- bake healthy treats
- be more organized
- entertain family and friends
- drink more water
- eat more leafy greens
- reduce time on social media
- journal consistently
Creative Endeavours
This is an area that always excites me and I really would like to:
- dive back into creative writing
- learn to knit
- learn to embroider
- learn Tunisian crochet
- read more books
- publish a book of poetry on Wattpad
- share poetry on the blog
Blogging Endeavours
Well, of course I have ideas and things I want to do for my blog. They are:
- grow my audience
- start earning
- gain more subscribers (you can subscribe right now if you like)
- expand my content topics
Final Thoughts
Those are the twenty-two things! I think some are attainable but I know I am not going to be able to do all of these things this year. I hope I can make headway on some of the harder “goals” like knitting. I know birdwatching will be hard to get into with a little baby, but it’s something I’ve been interested in trying for some time now. If you follow me on Twitter, you might have noticed I have a thing for birds. Writing these down has felt empowering, so I hope that I continue to be inspired to strive towards these goals as the year goes on.

Awww, thanks!! It’s kinda like YouTube for writers. So you can share your writing on there by creating your books and interacting with the community. No videos though 😀 It’s in the App Store. And readers can access lots of stuff to read for free!
I hope you get to fulfill all of your goals and plans this year! Knitting and crocheting are super fun and creative hobbies to learn/do.

Thank you!
That’s a great list. Definitely enjoy time with the baby. It’s shocking how fast the time goes by and it’s such a short time of their lives. I also want to learn how to knit someday. It’s not a goal for this year, but something I want to learn. my goals are about growing my blog and helping my kiddo to reach goals in her life. I wish you well on meeting your goals.
