I have been blogging for almost a year and a half now, and during that time I’ve learned a lot about blogging and also, have come across several blogs that I love. I thought it was time to share those blogs with you.
I began this blog with the intention of sharing something of my journey with anxiety and how I overcame the worst of it with you. I wanted others who had suffered as I had to know they are not alone, that there is an “out” through self awareness, self love and self care. But the more I’ve blogged, the more I’ve learned about myself because blogging has allowed me to live more authentically than I ever have before. I’ve been at home since the pandemic started, and that also has allowed me the time to devote to my blog, and to grow as an individual. A lot has been happening behind the scenes in my life, and while some of it is frustrating and even has been scary, I am grateful for all of it, but most especially for the platform I’ve built here on Tidbits of Care.
But I didn’t do it on my own. I did it with the support of my wonderful husband, and also with all of you that engage with my content and have offered honest advice, support and feedback. So thank you! Today I want to highlight a few bloggers who have really influenced my work in some way, shape or form.
Jenny in Neverland
This is just one of the blogs I love. I’ve followed Jenny for a long time, long before I started my own lifestyle blog. I loved her Twitter updates, enjoyed her blog and just generally really loved the vibe I got from Jenny. Jenny’s blog has proved so helpful as it’s full of blogging advice and tips, and she has wonderful content that really helps bloggers at all stages of the game. I really recommend her ebook A Beginner’s Guide Blogging as it covers information you really need to start improving SEO, to get those page views and grow your blog.
But what I really love about Jenny’s blog is that you get a bit of everything–blogging advice, self help, articles about mental health, tips about self care and personal care, life advice and so much more. Jenny’s blog is one I’m always visiting as it always has something relevant to my life–and likely yours too whether you’re single, married, young or older.
Kayleigh Zara
Another blog I love is Kayleigh Zara’s. Her blog is so super nice–I adore the photography, and Kayleigh’s content is super useful. Tons of blogging tips, and she covers so many topics from food to finance. I always feel motivated to get working on my own blog after visiting Kayleigh’s. I am not exactly sure what is so inspiring–her energy, her content or what but I certainly want to do everything I can to grow my own blog after visiting Kayleigh’s. She’s so positive and encouraging and I’ve found her super sweet and helpful as well. Kayleigh also has resources and services that I truly think all bloggers can benefit from. Plus, she’s always pointing you towards other great resources from other bloggers which is amazing.
Metaphysical Mama
As someone who considers myself spiritual, this blog definitely intrigued me at first, especially because Tiffany, the Metaphysical Mama herself, is so kind and caring. I’ve found her super sweet and helpful, and the more I’ve read of her blog, the more I have enjoyed it. Her blog is a true self help and personal development blog and yet, somehow offers more. It truly speaks to me in a way that I can’t exactly describe. I love the articles as they are detailed, and really get me thinking about my self, my inner most desires and the kind of life I want to live. Tiffany has so much to offer, some of which I haven’t even explored as of yet, but I honestly think this is a great blog for anyone looking to really dive into personal development.
Nin Chronicles
I love this blog. It really sparks the creative writer in me. I mostly visit this blog to read Jaya’s wonderful poetry, which always leaves me wanting me more because she uses words so exquisitely. She also has articles on parenting and family, and on blogging and writing as a craft. Jaya is always super encouraging and kind, and her writing style is thought provoking and absorbing. Her blog is lovely for its content, but it also makes for beautiful reading, which is why I’m so strongly drawn to this blog. Well crafted writing isn’t easy to find on the internet, but Jaya provides that in every article and poem. And I love beautiful words. Blogs that I love always make me think of Jaya and her wonderful writing.
Mornings on Macedonia
Now this blog just makes me so happy and inspires me so much. The photography is amazing, and the home decor and DIY projects always leave me wanting to improve my own home–which trust me, needs improvement and my husband and I are working towards that. You can read about our interior design dramas here. I love that she has so many great styling ideas and also provides recipes and lifestyle posts. Her tone is always uplifting and positive and I just love the variety her blog has to offer. The more I dig into it, the more surprised I am at some of the content available. Reviews of yummy treats, Christmas decor, travel articles and even articles on hunting for antique and vintage pieces!
Final Thoughts
Of course I read a ton of other blogs, and there are some I want to read more of and become more familiar with, and that’s the great thing about blogging and being a blogger–I am inspired by so many in this community and also, have learned so much about myself by honest conversations with others. Sometimes as bloggers we might wonder if our time and effort is worth it–I’ve yet to make a cent from this blog, but I think that the time spent is worth well as we offer so much to others without even knowing that we do. Being a blogger has really shown me that, and I want to continue to be able to provide that support and inspiration for others, just as others do for me.
Jenny is the best! I love these bloggers, thank you for sharing your favourites I’ll check out the ones I don’t know x
