Last October, I began to share some of my poetry here on the blog. However, I wasn’t in the best place mental health wise, and soon I found myself too tired to work, blog, live life and dive into creative writing. So I stopped writing again. But lately, I have found myself wanting to write creatively, and I have been encouraged by some wonderful people online to give it a go. So I thought I would begin slowly and begin sharing some poems on the blog again. Today, I’m sharing my first poem in a long time.

Violet light shines
From an otherworld,
Kissing her apple blush cheeks
Words tumble from moonlight slick lips,
Words
You cannot
Unhear.
Then, a black promise demanded.
One I cannot make;
I cannot lie
I can’t hold this lie
Until I die.
