Burnings

Posted on November 23, 2020November 21, 2020 by Giulia

Ashes

Brunt paper

Fires of the banned

Books and words and thoughts

Lost

All ash

Hypocrispy and fear reign

THis reminds me of the Nazis burning books in the 1930s. The power of words and knowledge is something to be feared by those who would control all.. Great poem!

Yep! Book burnings are evil but I fear we’ve entered an age where there are other ways to censor information.

With words meaning as much as they do to me, it is unimaginable the people who seek to destroy stories that tell poignant truths. I love how you capture that here!
