6 Powerful Crystals to Have In Your Healing Kit

Posted on September 14, 2020October 9, 2020 by Giulia

So I recently headed back to work. I’m not quite back full time yet, but I will be very soon. And while the first day back was good, going back to work has definitely heightened my anxiety. I already have a stressful job and all the extra protocols we now have because of Covid and the kind of environment I will be working in now makes my job more stressful. I still don’t know what to expect to happen once I’m there full time again. But I decided that while there are some things I can’t control (like Covid) there are things I can, and so I am preparing a healing kit containing five powerful crystals.

I was raised Roman Catholic, though my family is largely non practicing we are traditional in beliefs, but me being me, I was always drawn to the more spiritual. As an adult, I embrace things like crystal healing and aromatherapy. I still pray as a Catholic, but I also trust that the world contains much that can heal us as everything on it is apart of God’s creation. That just makes sense to me you know? I am comfortable with the balance I have found with my faith and spiritualism and think God is likely okay with it too. But I’m wandering a little here so back to crystal healing.

Crystal healing is a personal journey and experience. Crystals are thought harness the energy of the earth and sun, and that contact with these beautiful rocks can shift our energy and connect us to the earth. Crystal healing is a beautiful way of manifesting your intentions and connecting us to the earth and its energies. In my healing kit I intend to include six powerful crystals that I will program with my intentions and keep in my workspace.

Blue Lace Agate

A soothing baby blue colour, this lovely crystal is said to have a calming effect on the mind, and can encourage you to to speak your truth. I am including this stone because I believe I will feel the need to speak out in the months to come, but I wish to do so calmly and not out of frustration and fatigue.

Amethyst

This is a must have stone for anyone interested in crystal healing, or collecting. Amethyst soothes away the stresses of the day and encourages you to trust your intution. Being that we (as a society) are heading out into unknown waters, I think it best to include this crystal or I’ll be double and triple guessing myself. Plus, I love that it will help with easing stress. And, it’s always been a favourite crystal of mine, one that I am consistently drawn to, and those are the crystals you should always keep handy.

Hematite

This is a shiny stone, used in fine jewelry and more commonly known as Alaskan diamond. It’s not a diamond at all, but it is pretty. It’s a powerful grounding crystal, strengthening our connection with the earth. It focuses energy and emotions, providing us with a balance between mind, body and spirit. I love that is a protection stone as well, and I think it’s a perfect stone to have in the work space.

rose Quartz

This is also a very popular stone as it is very powerful. A stone that promotes love, it restores trusts and harmony and is known to be calming and reassuring. I work in a field where nothing is really predictable, and plans can go out the window in an instant so this definitely will help me. Because of rose quartz’s connection to the heart, it’s said to promote feelings of peace and inner healing. I think in these confused, trouble times, this is a stone we should all have.

Smoky Quartz

This stone is truly amazing. I love it’s colour, it’s restful somehow but the best thing about it is the amazing healing propertities. It dispels negativity, disperses depression and brings calmness therefore relieving stress and anxiety. It’s a stone for me! It is also said to promote positive thoughts.

Citrine

This sunny beauty is said to energize every level of life, so I am not leaving it out of my healing kit! Known to raise both self awareness and self esteem, it is also said to encourage self expression, impart joy and promote motivitation. And I do I ever feel like I need motiviation. An emotionally balancing stone, this is one powerful piece of Mother Earth.

Heal Thyself …

I can’t change the world, or the laws, or people. I can do my best to bring goodness to the world by being kind, patient and accepting. The world scares me right now, and I have so many fears inside of me. But, I have to heal myself of those fears, and I intend to do so by living authentically as I have been learning to do, and by practicing self care. I refuse to let the mess of mankind mess with my life and happiness. So crystal healing will be apart of how I live and cope. Remember, crystals are not a subsitute to professional medical advice and that as always, if you are ill or experiencing severe anxiety or depression, you should seek the advice of a doctor or other medical professional. Crystal healing is mean to support your healing, not replace medical healing.

Amethyst, rose quartz, citrine, and smoky quartz I all have and I love to charge them on a moonlit windowsill and sleep with a rock under my pillow as I am called to it. I love the balance you found between your faiths; I feel like I too have to cut the cloth to fit me.

I don’t hav proper windowsills to charge my crystals that way, I wish I did! Sometimes I sit my crystals on top of my selenite tower and I am thinking of getting a plate piece for this purpose as well. I think it’s okay to balance faiths, it’s all about doing good and I think we can learn from many teachings to do good and be good 🙂

I absolutely LOVE hematite. I have purchased a bracelet with a number of crystals on it so that I can easily carry my hematite with me anywhere that I go. I am a firm believer in it’s ability to help me find balance in life, regardless of what I may be facing day to day.

Yes, it’s a great little rock hehe I am sure it has helped you a lot. I absolutely love it myself too and darker colours aren’t my thing.

This was really interesting! I know next to nothing about crystals so although I have a few, I’m not sure what their intended purpose is beyond ‘oh that’s pretty’. Citrine is beautiful! And sounds like it has great properties too, providing it works as intended. It sounds like you’ve found a nice balance between your faiths x

I came across crystal healing for the first time. I have heard of astrologers giving rings of precious stones for overcoming certain issues. I guess the crystals helps in affirming beliefs and remain positive .

It’s absolutely the same thing as gems are precious crystals.

I love crystals, I think the only one on this list I don’t have is the smoky crystal. I love crystal healing, my favorite necklace is one that I got in Japan from a crystal shop in Tokyo, and it has a garden Quartz on it.
