My Favourite Crystal

Posted on March 30, 2020 by Giulia

I’ve been learning more about crystals, and I have been finding them wonderfully peaceful. Holding them, wearing them, looking at the shape of these natural minerals really brings me a sense of calm. From the very beginning of my exploration of crystal healing there has been one stone that I have been enchanted with over and over again. Whether it’s a cluster, tumbled or tower, I can’t help but be drawn to this powerful crystal.

Amethyst. The deep purple colour catches the eye, but the energy of this crystal feels so good. It’s a great stone for stress, and I love to wear it when I’m feeling tired, impatient and burned out. Plus, I just the love the way this crystal looks. The colour is so stunning. It’s said to be a protective stone, and to dissolve negativity, both emanating from you and from others. It also calms the mind, likely why it is good for those experiencing stress.

I have this stone in many forms. I have a natural cluster of deep purple that came from the Canadian Shield. And I have a light amethyst worry stone which is so nice to hold. Also, I have it in a tumbled form, as well as a small tower. I have several pieces of jewellery made from amethyst as well. Simply seeing this beautiful and powerful crystal makes me feel good.

How Do Crystals Heal?

I want to share with you some of what I have learned about crystal healing. I have already stated that I believe that what comes from the earth can be good for you. And it seems there is some science behind the notion of crystals having healing properties. Everything on earth is made of energy and therefore, the energy in our bodies and in crystals is the same. So, when you wear crystals or place them on certain areas of your body, your energy changes and if I understand it correctly, aligns with the energy of the crystal. Being a sensitive person with empathic qualities, it’s no wonder then that I am drawn to amethyst as I’m likely in need of protection and balancing from all the energies of those around me throughout the day, and I’m around a lot of people with BIG energies.

I’m so happy to be learning more about crystals, and I love sharing what I learn with you. Do you also heal with crystals? Let me know in the comments below!
